Introduction Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) is a serious, late complication of measles, and the prognosis remains poor in absence effective treatment, underscoring role vaccination its prevention. Objectives We describe clinicobiological evolutionary profile 16 patients recruited from B chu de Constantine pediatric department. Patients methods Study of16 cases: epidemiological, clinical, EEG, biological profile. Results16 cases SSPE were collected, 75% male, 70% aged between 24 59 months, almost all had 98% within first months life, 93% not been vaccinated against occurred more than 50% 48 after received treatment (100% corticosteroids immunoglobulins), 87% antiepileptics 25% rituximab, course was characterized by stabilization: 27%, death: 33% deterioration:40% cases.
